Occupational orientation of Osun people deals with the patterns and practices of occupation and job related with the state that has remained stable in the people’s life. The people of Osun state are enterprising as their Yoruba counterparts, they are generally industrious. The major occupation practiced by the Osun people are that they are traders, Artisan, and farmers, other occupation include textile production in Ile-Ife, tie and dye in Ilesha, Ede and Ife, leather work, mat weaving in Ipetu Ijesha, wood carving Osogbo etc Government employment as teachers, civil servant, industrial establishment workers are also the occupation of the Osun people.
