When you think the British learnt their lessons from all the Acts and the displeasure’s it created, they came in with a new form of act, duties and customs.
It has been noted that on the same day parliament repeated the stamp act, it passed the Declaration act which re-affirmed England’s authority to pass any law. It desired to bind the colonies and the people of American. This Act showed that the colonies remained subordinate and the British government pronounced its complete unqualified sovereignty over the North American colonies. More so the Britain still passed other forms of taxes which was the Townshend Duties.
